I've just returned from a week visiting my niece Jennifer, and helping her celebrate her 17th birthday! What a blast!
This was definitely the vacation break I needed. On Sunday, Nov 15th I took a huge national optician's test called the ABO in Seattle and I was dead tired from studying. I still had a few more days off, and so I decided to go up and see Sharon, Jenn, and Kevin for a few days. Wasn't sure I was going to be able to go because of the bad weather, but mother nature was kind and I made it over the pass (twice) without any troubles.
The first few days were spent watching movies and playing Rock Band. I had never played it before, but now I'm addicted! I'm not really very good (I always choose Easy), but the point is to have fun, which I did.
On Jenn's birthday (Nov 19th) we had a birthday party for her and a few of her friends came over for ice cream and cake. We played more Rock Band, opened presents, lighted up some sparklers, and then finished the evening off with a Cake Fight That's Jenn's friend Courtney and I going at it. We both had a blast acting goofy. Courtney's sister whipped out her cell phone and has a video, which I'm dying to own.
